A small program on this laptop writes down what the machine is doing every few minutes and sends it to a server I run. It has been going for 138 days. As monitoring it is close to useless: it would tell me a disk was full some hours after I had noticed. What it is good at is the slow stuff, the shapes that only appear once there are months of them.
